Hey everybody, I finally got a dog of my own! He's a schnorkie, which is a schnauzer/yorkie. He mostly looks like a Schnauzer but he's got those Yorkie ears, and he is the preciousest doggie EVER. He's so perty and sweet and awwwww. He's got great manners, listens very well to "eh, eh!" (the sound effect meaning no, I don't know how to write it). And he gets along well with most other dogs (he was terrified of Amy's rottie, but I'm hoping that will change)

Here's a video!

I don't know how or why I ran across this, but it kind of blew my mind... who would have thought classical ballet type stuff would meld well with hip hop?

Hey guys! How's it going? I am high right now because I'm getting a root canal tomorrow and hydrocodone is yay. Otherwise I would be crying because omg, the pain.

So what's new with you? Nothing's new with me. I'm enjoying half of my tv shows, and being disappointed by the other half. Okay, half isn't fair. I'm disappointed with How I Met Your Mother. House is back to being great, Castle is still one of my favorite squee-worthy shows, Lie to Me I can't get enough of, Grey's Anatomy is good but I'm so annoyed with Izzy/Katherine Heigl I kind of can't get past it... and I miss Burke. I know, I know, I kept saying Washington should get fired, and I still stand by that, but that doesn't meant that I don't miss the character of Burke. Supernatural is sort of half and half... some good some bad. I need to catch up on The Office and 30 Rock. Bones is excellent this season, I love love love it. It's great.

I still love Community and I've finally decided that I do indeed like Modern Family. Cougar Town is out as far as I'm concerned... it's one note, and that note went sour... except her son and ex husband are awesome.

I miss Psych. I hate how we seem to have two mini-seasons when it comes to that show. I want new episodes NOW NOW NOW. I love my Seano and Guster.

When the hell is Chuck coming back? I can't wait to see what Kung-fu Chuck is like.

I am of course still jobless. 200 resumes, 4 interviews, no jobs. Gah. Well, okay, I got one of them, but it was for a driver at Dominos.... yeah, I think not.

I wish that Blackberry had a livejournal app. It has a facebook app thats awesome and I keep up to date on that thing.

Writingwise, I've been piddling with a Bones fic but I don't know.. I seem to have lost my muse for the past 2 years. That's horrible. I need it back. Ugh.

Okay, my headache/toothache just broke through the hydrocodone haze and I have to go curl up in a ball now. Later peeps! Miss you!
15th/Oct/2009 | 01:01 am - what up peeps?

Hey guys. I'm checking in because I miss you guys! I've been, I dunno. Disconnected. Life is... um. It's going? Going going gone. Going nowhere. Down the tubes. Into nothingness. LMFAO!!! No, really, it's good except for how it's not. Like. I don't know how to describe it. cutting more woefulness... )

So, the point of this post? What are the things that make you squee? What things are you squeeful about? I am finding House very squeeful these days. As do I find Lie to Me and Castle squeeful. I am finding my Matthew Perry renaissance squeeful. I am finding Eastwick to be squeeful.

Cougar Town brings me squee but that's more Courtenay Cox related than it actually being a good show. I just found out that Nip/Tuck is not done, which I swore last season it said "series finale", and that brought me squee, but I just remembered it premiered tonight and I forgot it so that's not very squee-y.

Community with Joel Hale (mmm, yummy and snarky? my favorite combo!) is full of awesome squeeness, but I'm afraid it's going to go the same way of Arrested Development because it's too good and too smart to actually stay on the fucking air, so my squee is tempered. Modern Family is working it's way into being something I might like (it took me a marathon of 6 Reno 911's to love that show, and I think Modern Family is in that boat) and again, I don't see that lasting past this season either.

My trailer brings me squee, but it also brings me non-squee because I didn't do anything to deserve it (unless getting fired from the first job that had career potential qualifies as 'earning a trailer', which, ya know, it doesn't) so I feel guilty about it, but... pretty! And big! And room for a dog (once again, a good thing and a bad thing, because yay I can have one when I get a job, but... have to WAIT until I have a job in order to get one).

Um. Yeah. Your turn. Tell me what I'm missing out on. Tell me what's bringing you squee, television/movie-wise or non. Tell me what I've got to see, hear, watch, do, etc. Squee along with me about the things I just squeed about.

HELP ME BRING ME MY SQUEE BACK!!!!

ETA: Also, despite my anger towards Syfy (fucking, what is that? why is it no longer scifi? why did they netspeak that?) and the producers/writers/powers that be of Stargate Atlantis for cutting SGA off the air to make room for the third, Younger, Hotter, Newer stargate Universe... I've started making my way through the first ep of SGU and am finding myself reluctantly liking it. Or at least really digging the civilian kid that solved the whatever cereal contest whatever thing... he reminds me of that dude Jonah something from Superbad. I may change my mind when I start watching the second ep (there's only 2 at this point right?) but I'm finding it intriguing. I want to know when the fuck my SGA movie is happening though, God damnit. When? Now? SG1 got their movies out within a fucking year, where's my SGA?

A kid that went to denham high died in iraq and his funeral is today and there's hundreds and hundreds of people and kids down range with flags and in red white and blue. Its moving enough to make me cry. The funeral procession is huge. A helicopter just flew down the street.

I love House so much it hurts sometimes. That was a phenomenal episode of House right there. Just utterly fantastic. I loved loved loved it. I'm tired and still have Castle to watch (another woo hoo!) so I won't write much but yeah. HOUSE I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!

How I Met Your Mother was good too. I don't have much to say because again, Castle is my new heroine so I need to go get my fix, but yeah. I must say, I've really, really missed Marshall. I know, right? I'd think I'd come out of that episode going YAY BARNEY but really I just came out going I'VE MISSED YOU MARSHALL!!! Sigh. I love you Jason Segel. (I love everyone, I guess I just found Marshall so delightfully awesome in this ep that that's what sticks in my mind. NOT GOOD ENOUGH, *whip sounds*)

And hey! NPH and Nathan Fillion are on on the same night! Heeeee.

Seriously, I just have no attention span. I've been watching The Emmy's for forever it seems like, and I've been entertained, but there's only so long I can do it before I have to do something else and then go back to it.

I might be biased, but I don't think the Emmy's have been this entertaining um... ever. I'm serious, ever! The dude doing the commentary as the winners have been walking up to the stage is cracking my shit up... ya know, the "I'm a PC" dude. I don't know the real guy's name. NPH is of course great as host, but I know he's also co-producing and I can feel it in the way the Emmy's are tonight. It just has a younger, fresher feel to it. It's not as ... I don't know. Stilted? It's faster, it's funner, it's prettier, I'm just digging the whole thing. My lack of attention span is more about the speeches than anythign else. I've started fastforwarding the speeches and watching the banter/etc in between them, which is the complete opposite of how I've watched the Emmy's in previous years. LOL.

They're not over of course but I needed a break. I also wanted to say that I was so happy that Jon used half of his speech time to compliment NPH on the job he was doing. 1. Because I was hoping SOMEONE would, and 2. Because it's Jon Stewart, who I know NPH has referenced several times as someone he would like to emulate as far as hosting goes.

Also, that Dr. Horrible sketch? Fucking hilarious. My Neil and my Nathan. Heeee.

And I'm sorry, but Jon Cryer beat NPH? Really, is that show any fucking good? Because I've tried to watch it twice and thought it sucked, hard core. Maybe I picked the wrong two episodes... what is it? Two and a Half Men or something? Sigh. Though, NPH losing provided some great funniness out of Neil. But, couldn't it at least have been Tony Shalhoub?

Okay, I'm going to try and get myself to watch the rest now. The Emmy's take forever. Couldn't they split them up into two nights? LMFAO. Even the entertaining Emmy's still drain me of life.

I love doggies, and everyone has one but me!!! WHINE. But that's okay, because I have adopted them as my own. They're MY babies. Yeah, yeah, I don't own them, but they love me and I love them and that's all that matters!

I have one of my Mom's, which she's decided to name Tiger because his given name (by the breeder) of Rambeaux just didn't fit. The rest are of my BFF's rottweiler Boudreaux. Can you tell I live in Cajun Country? No no, it's not Rambo, it's Rambeaux. LOL.

pics of the cutes! )

Tiger is... um. I'm not sure. 2 months old? 3? I don't know actually. But he's trained to pee outside but not poo. The thing is, he goes to the door when he needs to poo but if you don't immediately see him he goes into the pool table room and poops under the pool table. LMFAO. My mom now calls it the Poo Table. He's such a sweetie though. He's got those razor sharp teeth and he loooooves it when you hold him because it gives him excellent access to try and chew your ears off (he's going through that whole chew-everything-in-sight-especially-fingers/toes/ears phase).

And Boudreaux is such a big ole lug. He's the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. You can stick your hand in his mouth and he just kind of nibbles gently at it. And then he licks you all over and gets his slobber on you and smiles. I swear that dog smiles. Look at that third picture of him, tell me that's not a smile!

The problem is, he hurts you. Because he wants to? Not at all. Because he doesn't know he's big and strong and he sees you and goes HI HI HI HI HI YAY! and proceeds to jump on you and knock you over. LOL. His favorite thing in the world is for you to sit in the floor with him so he can crawl in your lap and weigh you down like a car is on top of you. (It's kind of my favorite thing too... his nickname from me is Mr. Flopsy.)
11th/Sep/2009 | 11:07 pm - I feel like making wild speculations...

I want to go ahead and share my speculations for Supernatural, as well as my wishes and "dream" scenarios. I have no advance knowledge outside what we've already been shown in previews (ie, two females that have been on the show and will be back) and do not want to know spoilers. Speculate with me at will, but do not spoil me with facts you know for sure, okay? Thanks very much!!!

come play with me )

ETA: By the way, how fucking GORGEOUS is that new title card? It's white with red blood and just spooky and haunting and all heart-beat-y and just AWESOME.

Back in the day, about 5 years ago, I used to watch the late night shit pretty religiously. I had a pattern. The Daily Show, Letterman's opening, Leno's interviews, all of Conan and all of Kilborn. There was a half-hour break between when Letterman ends and Kilborn began, so I taped the first half hour of Kilborn and watched the second half. I fucking loved Kilborn. I miss the hell out of Kilborn. My Kilby. I still want to get a golden retriever and name him Kilborn, Kilby for short. Because I don't know why, but Kilborn reminds me of a golden. I guess it's the hair color, that's kind of blondish-reddish-y.

Anyway, so then Kilborn ended and I guess it kind of broke my heart and it seemed to me that TDS got more mean spirited and politically skewed (as in, only ripping on the right, never the left, and I like it both ways, thank you) and... I just sort of fell out of watching them. All of them.

uh, I can't not babble about Kilby )

So, the point of his post is not, in fact, about Kilborn, it's about Ferguson. I don't know if I genuinely watched him and found him unfunny or was just so heartbroken over my Kilby leaving me but I sort of refused to watch Ferguson. Turns out? Funny fucking dude. LOL. I always thought he was handsome and had a lovely accent and seemed like a genuinely nice dude but... yeah, I taped him last night cuz NPH was on and watched the whole thing and kind of just... fell in love with him. He's hilarious, he's unlike the other talk show hosts, Letterman is too cranky these days, Leno's gone (I'm super excited for his new show, I'm hoping he goes back to TRUE form, which is snarky, sarcastic as hell, and mean... not Mr. Nice Guy Tonight Show Leno), Conan is not the same as he was an hour later (I still love you Conesy, but you're not the same and that makes me sad... not saying he sold out, I'm saying I don't think the network lets him do the same crazy ass college humor shit he did on the 11:30 hour.) but yeah, he's just. Really funny. Plus he does this thing where he plays with the camera, kind of leans on it or touches it or gets all close up to it (which Conan did too, but only for the funny) where it seems like he's talking directly to you and it just feels intimate and personal, and I dig that.

So yeah. Alright Ferguson. You won me over. Happy now? Cuz I am!
6th/Sep/2009 | 07:23 pm - i have a new home now!!!

Wooooo! I am now officially moved into the new place! My furniture is here, I have a ton of boxes to unpack, and I even have a few decorations up. It's so pretty and lovely and quiet and I have lovely old people neighbors, which is such a welcome thing to me. LOL. You try living on college campus that's loud 24/7 and see if you don't welcome living in a predominantly senior community. LOL. And my next door neighbor lady has a miniature schnauzer named Chloe and she is cute cute CUTE.

Right now I'm watching Leverage, because I didn't realize it was back on and now I'm like, 8 episodes behind, and the whole reason I love this show is 1 man... Hartison. I fuckin' LOVE him. Look, I like them all, but. Um. Okay, how I want to say it is this way... it's a great ensemble, great. And hey, I always welcome Christian Kane on my tv. But if this show were to spin off each character into their own series, I think the only one I'd watch would be Hartison's. And maybe Kane's, just because he's so perty.

1. LSU plays their first game next Saturday. At 9:30pm. LMFAO. 9:30? What? That's the latest game EVER. It's against Washington, which... I know nothing about. But anyway, LSU FOOTBALL WOOOOO. GEAUX TIGERS!!! I'm so happy football season is upon us.

2. I am officially moving into my new place tomorrow! WOOOO. Moving the big shit this upcoming weekend but as of tomorrow I will be moving boxes and unpacking and sleeping there. Weeeeeeeeeeeeee.

You know, I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but there's this ridiculous celebmatch.com thing where you go and you pick your favorite actor/actress and put in your birthday and see if ya'll match up well. It's ridiculous but kind of awesome (when you like your results), but then sometimes it makes you want to, ya know, vomit.

Here's when it's awesome:

Me + NPH: Physical 96% (ok, except I don't have a penis, so, that's not true), emotional 94% (awww), & Intellectual 84%. We are a 92% match! That's really very very high. My favorite match up is with Colin Farrell with whom I have 96% physical, 62% emotional, and 98% intellectual. Clearly, we are fuck buddies.

Here's when it makes you want to puke:

I went to the "find the best matches!" tab where you just put in your bday and it matches you up with the 5 biggest percentages. Mine are Valentino Rossi 98%, Carlos Tevez 98%, Remo Vinzens 98%, Ryan Seacrest 97%, Mekhi Phifer 97%.

Okay, Mekhi Phifer makes me very happy, but do you see the person on that list that makes me want to stab my eyes out and maybe just, commit suicide? Ryan. Fucking. Seacrest. Are you shitting me? Are you serious?!!?!? As far as the other ones, I've never heard of them, but... Ryan fucking Seacrest?!?!!! Noooo.

It's been this way for years. I think I've been sporadically going on this website for about 5 or so years and every fucking time I think to myself... well someone must have knocked him off the list by now right? Wrong.

He's just such a twat. God I can't stand him. He did say something funny on twitter though (it's not my fault, I followed a link about NPH guest judging during AI tryouts, and followed another link and it went to his fucking thing and ugh) which is thus: "It's not acting.douchey just comes natural :) T @DDlsd: @RyanSeacrest haha,NEVER AGAIN! Acting douchey really comes natural to you..hm. lol" So. Ya Know. At least he KNOWS he's a douche. (It really did make me giggle, damnit.) I MISS BRIAN DUNKLEMAN, ya know, the one that was actually funny?! Oh, sigh, Dunk, why did you leave and force me to watch Seacrest all by his douchey self?

I think I'm probably going to talk about every single thing that happened in this movie, in great detail, so if you haven't seen it, do not read this... )

I was thoroughly satisfied with this movie. Just, one of the few movies I walk out of not only happy with it but actively wanting to turn right back around and pay another fucking $7.50 to see it again. I will own this movie as soon as it is possible. I will download it when it's available and I will buy it when it's out. I don't know if I'd go so far as to say it's my favorite of QT's films, because it's very very hard to swallow knocking down Reservoir Dogs from that pedastal, but... it's close close close. I fucking love that QT had been doing this forever and he just keeps getting better and better.

Kevin Smith, I love you, but I wish you could be like this... Clerks was brilliant, Chasing Amy owns my soul, but from there on out you have yet to top yourself. QT just keeps on topping himself. Bravo, Quentin.

Okay guys, it's been a long, long time since I came out of the theater feeling that jazzed and psyched and satisfied. I first saw the trailer for Inglourious Basterds a while back and as soon as they said from Tarantino I refused to watch the trailer from that point on. I love Tarantino, I will see anything done by him, period. I don't need to know or want to know what it's about, I don't need to know who's in it, I don't want them to ruin the best bits in the trailer. Just, tell me when it's out, and I'm there.

My parents, whom I went with, had only seen one Tarantino movie. Pulp Fiction. Dad thought it was funny but too violent, and Mom HATED it. So when they called this morning to see if I wanted to go see it I was like "fuck yeah, I do, but you don't. It's Tarantino, dude." They took me anyway.

And this movie had like, six different things wrong with it as far as whether or not my parents would like it. Like every QT movie, it's all over the place, at least 4 different storylines going on at the same time, the timeline is not linear (though, more linear than any other QT movie in this one), there is blood and gore, and cursing. Not that my parents mind cursing, but QT cursing is generally different from regular movie cursing. LOL. Though, it must be said, I don't know if there was less cursing or if the cursing was just so needed as to not be noticed, but the cursing was not a problem at all. Also, this movie had a lot lot lot of German & French dialogue with English subtitles. My parents still won't see Passion of the Christ (say what you want about accuracy or Mel Gibson or his anti-semetic views, I thought it was an excellent movie) because it has subtitles. Subtitles and accents do not gel with my parents.

My parents? Fucking loved it. I? Fucking loved it. It's amazing. Well crafted and wonderfully, amazingly satisfying. One of those movies I was having trouble not clapping in the middle of. I was having to hold back from saying "fucking KILL him!" or "fuck yes!" during. At the end I clapped until my hands wanted to fall off. Oh it was great great great GREAT.

It's so wonderful and unapologetic and pulls no punches and it's just wonderful. GO SEE IT!!!

God. I'll make a post that's chock full of spoilers for those of you that have seen it in a minute.

PS. Since I purposefully made this post non-spoilery please refrain from talking in detail in this post. That's what I made the other, spoilerific post for.

So my friend asked about Tom Waits, and I spammed her, because I worship him, so I shall spam you guys too, because if you don't love tom Waits then you... can just get away from me. No, I'm kidding. Waits isn't for everyone, he's weird and strange and bluesy/jazzy awesomeness all wrapped up in a whethered, cigarette smoking, whiskey-raspy voiced package, and I fucking love him, but there is no middle ground when it comes to him. People either can't stand him, or love him.

First videos. Not many. He doesn’t do press much, he’s a bit of a recluse, but apparently he loves Letterman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lX1qpcDchD4

One of the only good skits from Jim Jarmusch’s Coffee and Cigarettes, with Tom and Iggy Pop.
